NETWORK OF CARE TOOLKIT
To support the sustainability of ACEs Awareness in our community, we have developed an ACEs community resource toolkit that will act as a resource for both medical and social service providers in Kings County interested in being part of the greater Kings County ACEs Network of Care. The toolkit serves as a guide for organizations/teams to join us in establishing trauma-informed processes that will help ensure our Network of Care remains strong, sustainable, and diverse. It will also act as a long-term resource that will memorialize what we have learned during this process and will propel our community forward in building hope and addressing ACEs in Kings County. This toolkit will help our collaboration in continuing our ACEs work in the community since it will be applicable and resourceful long-term, creating a sustainable NOC-community moving forward. In our effort to motivate organizations/teams to make a commitment to trauma-informed care practices, we have implemented the “Commitment to Care” community incentivized action steps. This toolkit offers valuable steps of action that can be incorporated within any organization. We hope you will take the time to explore all the materials and resources this toolkit provides.
COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT TOOLKIT
As we look to the future, it becomes clearly apparent that the role of communications is important now more than ever. To ensure a sustainable project in the community, the role of communications transitions to community engagement. To continue ACEs education, the promotion of ACEs screenings, and the tools for resilient practices, it is the role of communications to act as the community ambassador and educate, inform, motivate, and encourage active participation from all sectors and members of the community in this ACEs Aware initiative.
In efforts to assist other grant projects in developing sustainable community engagement practices, this toolkit provides:

**PLEASE NOTE: This toolkit was developed as a resource for other communities striving to promote the ACEs Aware project. The collaborative organizations within the Kings County ACEs Network of Care are not professional experts in the field of communications. The following tips, resources, and information only reflect the methods that worked for Kings County. Communications and community engagement is highly dependent on multiple community factors- it is not a one-size fits all. We merely hope that our insights will help guide and give ideas to other communities who are looking for assistance.
